Services

    Coping with Loss

Grief can manifest itself in a variety of ways. We have all heard of the “stages of grief”-shock, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance…but although most of us will experience each of these stages, we will all go through them at different times and in different ways. Just as there are no two snowflakes exactly like each other, no two people grieve in the same way.

    Teen Depression Counseling

Teen depression is a mental disorder that is characterized by abnormally low moods that persist for two or more weeks. Depression prevents individuals from functioning normally in their day-to-day activities. Although a depressive episode may last only a few weeks, it often lasts much longer.

    Abuse Counseling

Abuse is any behavior that is designed to control another person by using fear, humiliation, intimidation, guilt, coercion, or manipulation. Emotional abuse is any kind of abuse that is emotional rather than physical in nature. It can include anything from verbal abuse and constant criticism to more subtle tactics, such as repeated disapproval.

    Transitions

Transition..do you cringe when you hear that word? We all go through numerous transitions throughout our lifetime. Some are exciting, some are troubling, and some just are. For a variety of reasons many people dread change and transitions. We like the comfortable and familiar, even when we recognize it might not be completely healthy.
